Nicola  from Eltham in South East London has aspired to a career in music journalism and presenting. However,  anxiety and self esteem has been a major block to her progression.

Through YOUYOU, Nicola was mentored by Paul Rees during his time as Editor In Chief at the music magazine, Q. This mentoring led on to her completing a work experience placement at Q and also having her first article published in the magazine – an interview with British electro-popster Little Boots.

As part of YOUYOU's 15 minute interview series, Nicola  interviewed the likes of Rolling Stone guitarist Ronnie Wood,  Martin Kemp from the legendary pop band Spandau Ballet.

With YOUYOU's help, she has been able to build an excellent portfolio of professional work which has led to her becoming a Presenter & DJ for  Meridian Radio.

Nicola has recently been spotted by XFM radio.   Watch this space.!

With continued support from YOUYOU Mentoring, Darien successfully received funding from the Arts Council to direct and produce his first short film The Observer  to be released in Spring 2016.

Susannah from  Lewisham loves portrait, still life and nature photography.

In 2014, she took the hard  decision to drop out of her photography degree at Ravensbourne  College because she was worried about fees,  debt and if the course was giving her real practical hands on skills.

Susannah  spotted YOUYOU Mentoring in a magazine offering mentorship.  She sent through her details and portfolio.  Susannah's portfolio shone out and within a few days she was offered a beneficiary place on the the Double Exposure Portraits Project.   and was teamed with award-winning photographer Adam Lawrence.

During her mentorship,  Susannah took part in 1-2-1 sessions with her mentor at the famous Holborn Studios, to gain skills in setting up lighting and confidence in directing subjects.

Susannah  assisted Adam on  shoots photographing Professor Green and confidently directed and photographed Games of Thrones, Maisie Williams, musician Miles Kane and fashion legend Dame Vivienne Westwood for the  Double Exposure Portraits.

Susannah and her fellow beneficiaries celebrated their first major exhibition Double Exposure Portraits at Zebra One Gallery in Hampstead.

With exposure from YOUYOU Mentoring, Susannah went on to win the 'One To Watch' in Professional Photography Magazine.

Susannah  is working on her first solo project and exhibition.
