Poppy lives in Bow in East London and originally from Hebden Bridge in Yorkshire.
Poppy was selected to write eco poems as part of YOUYOU Mentoring and Dame Vivienne Westwood climate change poetry project.

With the continued support from YOUYOU Mentoring, Poppy went on to collaborate with Brit artist Gavin Turk and illustrator Hugo Guinness creating a collection of poems titled LOVE POEMS to coincide with Valentine's Day.
Poppy has always been inspired by the Yorkshire scenery and through the guidance from YOUYOU she went onto take part in masterclasses with Marsden poet Simon Armitage and his Stanza Stones project, poems that were carved out to form a 47-mile walking trail from Marsden to Ilkley Moor.
In 2015, Poppy was the winner of the national Stanza Stones Project with her poem ‘Learning to Love You (Ode to the Yorkshire Moors.) Poppy appeared on the BBC One show Countryfile reciting her poem.
